FAMILY & CORPORATE SPONSORSHIPS

The Mokena Athletic Boosters provide volunteers to support the student athletes of Mokena School District 159. In addition to supporting the general athletic operating budget and purchasing uniforms for various sports teams, the Athletic Boosters contribute to various needs that are presented to them by the athletic department.  Funds are raised to provide assistance for all athletic programs and to provide the essential support to help all of our student athletes reach their fullest potential.

How can you help?  YOUR support helps the athletic boosters continue the tradition, pride, and excellence in the Mokena Schools.  Please consider one of our sponsorship levels to assist in the financial support of our student athletes!

3-on-3 Fundraiser Tournament Rules

  1. All games will be 15 minutes of running clock or up to a score of 15, whichever comes first. There are no time-outs.
  2. Team Captain must check in at Scorer’s table prior to game and after each game to record score.
  3. Scoring will be on a 1 point (within 3-pt arc) and 2 point (outside 3-pt arc) basis.
  4. A coin flip will determine possession at the start of each game.
  5. Jump balls will be called, with the scorer keeping track of the alternating possession.
  6. The defensive team must clear the ball behind the 3-pt arc before attacking the basket. The player must get both feet behind the 3-pt arc for the ball to be cleared. This rule includes the rebounding of an air ball. The offensive team may attack the basket immediately on offensive rebounds.
  7. The offensive team must have the ball “checked” by the defense and passed into play following made field goals. This takes place at the top of the 3-pt arc.
  8. Any ball knocked out of bounds must be checked at the top of the 3-pt and passed into play to resume play.
  9. Each player must sit out at least once during the game. Substitutions will only be allowed during dead ball situations.
  10. The referee will call fouls. All of his/her decisions are final.
  11. When a non-shooting foul is called, the team that has been fouled will “check” the ball above the 3-pt arc to resume play.
  12.  If a player is fouled in the act of shooting, the team will automatically be awarded 1 point (2 points will be awarded if a player is fouled while taking a 2 point shot). Possession of the ball will then go to the defensive team.
  13. Overtime games will be “sudden death”. First possession will be decided by a coin flip. The first point scored wins the game. In the case of an intentional foul to prolong overtime, the team that is fouled will be awarded 1 point and the game will be over.
  14. Good sportsmanship is expected of all participants and spectators! Fighting, vulgar language and unsportsman-like conduct will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and will result in immediate elimination from the tournament without any refund of entry fee.
  15. There is no dunking or hanging on the net and/or rim, at any time. If this occurs, the player will be disqualified from the game.
  16. Each court will be supervised by a minimum of 1 volunteer scorer and 1 volunteer referee.
  17. There will be no on court warm-ups. Please come ready to play.
  18. Each team must begin a game with 3 players, but may finish with less than 3 players. NO ONE may be substituted from one team to play on another team. In extenuating circumstances where a team member is unable to participate in the tournament, another player not already participating may take their spots with the approval of the Mokena Athletic Boosters
  19. Game time if forfeit time. Please be on time!
  20. Similar dress, though not required, is recommended. Proper shoes with non-marking soles and clothing are required.
  21. The referee shall order any player who is bleeding, or had blood on his/her uniform to leave the game for treatment and/or a change of uniform. Referee will determine when that player may resume play.
  22. Only Participants are allowed in the player side out area and on the player bench.
  23. Coaching from the sideline is not allowed. This tournament is for the enjoyment of the participants and therefore we encourage parents to let the children coach themselves.
  24. Mokena Athletic Boosters reserves the right to prohibit any student from participating in the 3-on-3 Fundraiser in the event that the student has violated school policy and disciplinary action has been taken.
